Contemporary

I just stumbled upon these pictures from B&B Italia that I posted in 2009. I remember
thinking that they were so contemporary and I still do, three years later. That is good styling.

Barneys

From now and up until 15 July nothing that is displayed in the N.Y. departmentstore Barneys windows is available for purchase. This is an artproject with installations by M/M Paris, Helmut Lang, Juergen Teller and others through Deste Foundation for Contemporary art. Love it.

Magazines

I love magazines. Half my adult worklife I have been working for interiormagazines but now I can't help but wonder where they are heading. I know times are bad for the publishinghouses and that fear is probably the reason why most interiormagazines play safe and are stuck in their old format afraid to change but I beleive that is when you need to move forward. I don't buy all the magazines like I used to do to keep updated (I get that on the blogs now), I only buy papermagazines for inspiration and to love and keep..but at my home what's piling up is not interiors, only thick odd fashionmagazines that has poped up lately and I believe that's the way interiormagazines need to follow to stay alive. I am longing desperately for personal, inspirational booklike interiormagazines with thick paper, clever stories and creative artdirection. I would rather buy a magazine like that even if it costed five times as much as the thin mainstream ones we have today. Wouldn't you?
